Chaga Chunks are pieces of wild chaga mushroom from the pristine forests of Nordland, Norway.
Traditionally used in folk medicine as immunity booster, this wonderful mushroom is available to you in ready-to-brew chunks that yield delicious and nutritious tea with earthy and vanilla-esque flavors.
Brew by simmering 12.5 g. of chaga in 1 l. spring water in a covered pot (glass, ceramic, cast-iron, or stainless steel) over low heat for 2 - 8 hours.
Chaga Chunks can be reused and brewed several times over, until they no longer yield a dark-colored decoction.
The resulting brew is to be utilized as a nutritional supplement* in the form of hot or iced tea, stock for soups and stews, as a smoothie base, or in baked goods.
Chaga is recognized as a safe natural mushroom and has been granted the GRAS status (Generally Recognized as Safe) by the World Health Organization.
The recommended daily dose is 2-3 cups ingested as a tea (nutritional supplement), sweetened with honey. We highly recommend using our Raw Wildflower Honey and adding it to the tea at drinking temperature.
We recommend brewing 2 liters or more in each brewing session, bottling the tea in glass bottles or jars once cooled, storing it in the fridge, and warming it up as needed. The brewed tea can be kept in the fridge for maximum 14 days.
